I want to thank all the organizers and volunteers for the very first CupcakeCampTO!! It was AMAZING. The crowd was great, the bakers were great, the cupcakes were FANTASTIC!!!

In everything we do in life, there is always room for improvement. I have no doubt CCTO#2 will be even better than the first!! I am looking forward to the next one already. WELL DONE!!

Yep we totally agree that it got pretty chaotic there for the first while. (We originally only expected to get 100 or so people based on everything we'd heard up to the day before.)

Things did spread out and cool off as the afternoon went on. We'll be looking for a larger venue next time as well as presenting the cupcakes a little differently. It was a first time event and since we are simply individuals we had to be conscious of cost for things like venue, insurance, and a number of other out of pocket expenses. Putting on an event like this is no easy task and although not perfect we did receive a large number of positive comments as well. In the next couple days we'll be blogging about the things we liked as well as what we are thinking about changing. Thanks for the feedback!

I think today's event was a lot like trying to read this play-by-play: it made my head hurt. I know it's a first try, and I love you all for trying, but it was pretty chaotic. My friend actually got scratched by another woman grabbing for a cupcake. I assume you'll take all suggestions and come up with something a little less crazy next year. I'd really love to bake for it, but after today, I'd feel obligated to make a heck of a lot more than 2 dozen!
